Salaries dominate Libyan spending: 80% allocated to employee costs

The Central Bank of Libya (CBL) on Tuesday disclosed the figures for the state's revenues and expenditures during the initial four months of the current year.

According to the bank's bulletin, the total revenues amounted to 31.951 billion dinars, while expenditures reached 26.083 billion dinars.

The bank further detailed that revenues acquired in foreign currency during this period totalled 6.4 billion dollars, with total current expenditures and obligations amounting to 13.772 billion dinars.

Relief for family as kidnapped child reunited in Benghazi

The Public Prosecutor's Office confirmed on Saturday the liberation of a child from his captors in Benghazi and the apprehension of those involved in the crime.

The Director of Kufra Teaching Hospital, Ismail Al-Ayda, has expressed concern about the spread of infectious diseases among displaced individuals arriving from Sudan to Kufra. He noted that the Ministry of Health has declared a state of emergency in response to this situation.

Al-Ayda described the health situation in the city as extremely critical, highlighting that a significant number of displaced individuals are suffering from infectious and potentially life-threatening diseases such as tuberculosis, AIDS, viral hepatitis, malaria, and various skin conditions.
