Palestine thanks Libya for UN vote on membership
The Palestinian Embassy in Libya has expressed gratitude for Libya's support after the latter voted in favour of a resolution granting Palestine full membership in the United Nations.
The Assembly overwhelmingly passed the resolution on Saturday, with 143 countries in favour.
Libya was also hailed for joining South Africa's case at the ICJ regarding the situation in Gaza.
Libya, IMF conclude Article IV consultations in Tunis
Article IV consultations between Libya and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) have wrapped up in Tunis.
The discussions, which spanned ten days, involved a high-level Libyan delegation, including the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL), the Head of the Audit Bureau, the Minister of Labour and Rehabilitation, and the Deputy Governor of the CBL, alongside representatives from key ministries and the National Oil Corporation.
Heading the IMF delegation was Dimitri Gvindadze, accompanied by Cyrus Sassanpour, Senior Adviser to the IMF Executive Board.
Al-Swehly clinches 12th Libyan Premier Volleyball League title

Relief for family as kidnapped child reunited in Benghazi

Libya adopts new mental health strategy with WHO support
The World Health Organization (WHO) and Libya's Ministry of Health have jointly announced the approval of the National Mental Health Strategy 2024-2030.
Following a two-day workshop in Misrata, which brought together mental health experts from across Libya and the WHO, the strategy aims to address pressing mental health challenges by focusing on prevention, early detection, treatment, and ongoing monitoring of mental illnesses.
The initiative also seeks to establish a comprehensive healthcare system, ensuring all citizens receive high-quality mental health services and support.
